Few dishes are as iconic in American culture as the hamburger. Twenty years ago, Nashville’s burger options may have been restricted mostly to fast-food joints, but the city’s bustling food scene has added many options that span the gamut from high-end to grab-and-go. From cheap classics served for over 50 years to ones served in smoky dive bars to expensive newer takes with modern twists and hefty price tags — this map covers them all.

The neighborhood burger restaurant now has four different locations — and all of them have crowd-pleasing burgers on tap for dine-in and patio seating, and takeout. The Southern Belle burger comes slathered with pimento cheese and topped with crispy tobacco onions and barbecue sauce, while the ANM.L. Burger features two smashed patties, American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and “awesome sauce”.
